Chicken Parm Casserole

Parmigiano-Reggiano (grated)3 oz

basil (chopped)4 tbsp

chicken breasts6

garlic (crushed)2 cloves

garlic croutons1 package

hot red pepper flakes

marinara sauce2.5 c

mozzarella (shredded)8 oz

olive oil1 tbsp

1Preheat oven to 375F.

2Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.olive oil: 1 tbsp

3Add garlic (crushed) and hot red pepper flakes to taste.garlic (crushed): 2 cloves, hot red pepper flakes

4Saute chicken breasts until golden, about 2 minutes per side.chicken breasts: 6

5Pour marinara sauce over chicken in the skillet.marinara sauce: 2.5 c

6Add basil (chopped) if using.basil (chopped): 4 tbsp

7Sprinkle with half of the mozzarella (shredded) and half of the Parmigiano-Reggiano (grated) .mozzarella (shredded): 8 oz, Parmigiano-Reggiano (grated): 3 oz

8Remove from heat and set aside.

9Spread garlic croutons in the bottom of a 9x13 baking dish.garlic croutons: 1 package

10Pour chicken in sauce over the croutons.

11Top with remaining mozzarella and Parmigiano-Reggiano.

12Bake for ⏱️ 20 minutes , or until golden brown and bubbly.
