Chicken Parm Casserole

  • Parmigiano-Reggiano (grated)
    3 oz
  • basil (chopped)
    4 tbsp
  • chicken breasts

  • garlic (crushed)
    2 cloves
  • garlic croutons
    1 package
  • hot red pepper flakes
  • marinara sauce
    2.5 c
  • mozzarella (shredded)
    8 oz
  • olive oil

    Preheat oven to 375F.

    Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.

    Add garlic (crushed) and hot red pepper flakes to taste.

    Saute chicken breasts until golden, about 2 minutes per side.

    Pour marinara sauce over chicken in the skillet.

    Add basil (chopped) if using.

    Sprinkle with half of the mozzarella (shredded) and half of the Parmigiano-Reggiano (grated) .

    Remove from heat and set aside.

    Spread garlic croutons in the bottom of a 9x13 baking dish.

    Pour chicken in sauce over the croutons.

    Top with remaining mozzarella and Parmigiano-Reggiano.

    Bake for ⏱️ 20 minutes , or until golden brown and bubbly.
